A man is lucky to be alive after being attacked by a man weilding a machete in downtown Toronto on Friday morning.
It happened near Queen and Sherbourne around 11:30.
Toronto EMS says the 35-year-old man was hacked several times in the upper body, but survived.
His injuries are considered serious, but not life threatening.
Toronto Police Constable Victor Kwong says the attacker was then tracked down by cops, outside of the shelter, where the alleged stabbing happened.
He was tased, and taken into custody.
He too has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Nothing yet on charges but police are still looking for witnesses to come forward with information.
