Toronto Police are on the hunt for a man they describe as violent who allegedly held a woman captive for two days.
Police say over the course of Monday and Tuesday of this week, the woman was also assaulted and threatened at an address near Bathurst St and Lake Shore Blvd W.
Const. Caroline de Kloet says the man and woman know each other but would not elaborate on their relationship.
Hussain Al-Naqeeb of Maple is wanted for a number of charges including assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, causing unnecessary suffering, taking a motor vehicle without consent, mischief and failing to comply with probation.
de Kloet could not say what weapon Al-Naqeeb is alleged to have used on the woman but police warn that he may be armed with a knife.
It is not clear if the woman was hospitalized.
Because police believe Al-Naqeeb to violent and possibly armed, if you see him, they warn you to stay way and to call 911.
A man whose name and age line up with suspect in the confinement case was arrested in Regina in 2015 as part of a drug-trafficking take-down.
