The provincial Liberals are in jeopardy of losing their official party status, if an election was to be held today.
A poll by Forum Research says if we went to the polls, the PC's would win a majority with 46 per cent support. The NDP would be the official opposition, currently with 27 per cent, while the Liberals trail with 21 per cent.
What's interesting about those numbers, is that if you break them down to seats, that would leave the Liberals with only 7 seats. The key number of seats to retain official party status would be 8.
Looking at the Green Party, they have four per cent support, and a further two per cent say they would support another party.
The poll also shows where the PC support is the strongest, in southwestern Ontario, eastern Ontario and in the 905.
The poll asked more than 11 hundred Ontario voters and is considered accurate plus or minus 3 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
