The brash, bombastic Donald Trump you saw on the campaign trail is not the man who will be moving into the White House in January.
60 Minutes' Lesley Stahl sat down with the U.S. president-elect at his home inside New York's Trump Tower Friday along with future first lady Melania Trump, and Donald Trump's four eldest children.
The interview airs on NEWSTALK 1010 Sunday at 7 p.m.
Jeff Fager, executive producer of 60 Minutes tells NEWSTALK 1010 their team noticed a shift in tone that many people may find refreshing.
"He's much more low-key, he seems to be much more focused and concentrating," Fager said. "It's almost as if he's not fighting anymore and he doesn't have to be."
Trump also shows a willingness to be flexible on some key campaign promises.
"We talked about the wall (on the Mexico-U.S. border) and he said if part of it's a fence, that's going to be okay."
Fager says in his discussion with 60 Minutes, Trump talked about about wanting to be a unifier, addressing Americans who have been protesting his election in cities across the country, including at the foot of Trump Tower in New York.
"He spent quite a bit of time talking about that, I think to let everybody know that matters to him."
