Toronto is getting more closed circuit cameras in an effort to deal with gun violence.
Mayor John Tory and Premier Doug Ford made the announcement Friday morning.
The province will spend $3 million to install 40 new cameras, bringing the total in the city to 74.
It's not clear exactly where these cameras will be installed.
The money is in addition to funding announced last week to address gun violence.
Ford says the province is spending $28 million over four years to help fight guns and gangs.
