Bids for a pair of tickets to game one of the NBA final have passed the $10,000 mark.
MLSE is auctioning off the tickets to support the family of a boy who was critically injured in a hit and run last weekend.
Four-year-old Radiul Chowdhury was hit by a motorcycle near Victoria Park Ave and St. Clair Ave E Sunday afternoon.
MLSE says the boy's father, Ruhul Chowdhury, works for them. They say all the proceeds of the auction will go to the family "to alleviate any additional financial burden so that Radiul’s family can be by his side". The company says it is providing assistance of its own.
The tickets open for bidding are in Section 120 with an estimated value of $4,500.
In an update on the bidding site, MLSE says Mohamad Fakih, CEO, Paramount Fine Foods made a $10,000 bid and promised that if his bid was surpassed, he would still donate $10,000 to the Chowdhury family.
Bidding closes at noon on game-day.
