Both its parent brand RB Health Canada Inc. and Health Canada has issued a recall for a certain type of Durex-brand condoms, after the products failed their shelf-life test.
The recall applies to both Durex RealFeel Extra Lubricated 10 count condoms and Durex RealFeel 20 count condoms.
For the 20 count condoms specifically, Health Canada says they are "not expected to meet the registered burst pressure specification at end of shelf-life."
The affected products are:
1000443254: (Durex Real Feel Extra Lubricated 10ct condoms (UPC 0 67981 98715 7)
1000356816: (Durex Real Feel 20ct condoms (UPC 0 67981 97177 4)
Batch numbers are on the bottom of the box as well as on the foil wrapping of each individual condom.
While the company says all products - even if the box has already been opened - can be returned to the store for a full refund.
The recall does not apply to any other types of Durex-brand condoms.
The company says there are no immediate safety concerns unless the products are used much closer to their expiry dates.
