Toronto police are on the case after a drone was seen flying near Billy Bishop airport Friday morning.
Transport Canada says a Porter Airlines pilot spotted the drone just before 8:30 a.m. According to the federal agency, early evidence suggests it was operating "in a reckless manner".
Friday's incident comes about four weeks after another Porter airlines pilot was forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with a flying object. Investigators later claimed the object was flying too high -- around 9,000 feet -- to be a drone.
Transport Canada also offers the reminder that anyone who violates controlled or restricted airspace, and threatens the safety of a plane, can face fines of up to $25,000 or jail time,
