A report suggests some layoffs are coming for public sector health workers in this province.
A government source tells the Toronto Sun that 416 pink slips will be going out to employees in the Local Health Integration Networks and other provincial health agencies.
In all, 825 positions are reportedly on the chopping block, almost half of which are already empty.
The jobs being cut are said to be "back office" jobs; administrative positions such as communications and planning.
The source says the cuts would save $250 million.
During the election campaign, Premier Ford promised that no public sector worker in this province would lose their job.
The government later said that only applies to front-line workers.
