We are expecting to learn more this week on what Premier Doug Ford has planned for transit in the GTA but according to one report, even Toronto's Mayor doesn't yet have all the details.
Sources speaking to the Toronto Star say Ford will reveal his rapid transit plan on Wednesday, just ahead of Thursday's provincial budget, but that Mayor John Tory is still in the dark about some key details.
The Star reports that Tory will not be part of Ford's announcement despite being asked to attend.
One of the things that is still unclear is what Ford has planned for the downtown relief line.
He's suggested it would use new technology but has provided no specifics on what that might look like.
The mayor's chief of staff will reportedly be briefed on the plan Tuesday evening, less than a day before it's made public.
