Starting Monday, some of the 1,500 residents of 650 Parliament Street will be allowed to return to their apartments, but only to take what is considered "urgent" out of their units.
According to a message sent out to residents on Sunday, those who need to retrieve items from their units must pre-register at an office located at the back of 260 Wellesley Street.
They will also need to be accompanied by a security guard during the entirety of their visits.
Residents were forced out of their homes on August 21 following a six-alarm electrical fire.
There is no power to the entire building and repaires to the electrical distribution system could take months.
Those who return to collect items can do so between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. every day, but they are advised to spend "as little time there as possible."
