Another motorized collision on the DVP Monday night, but this one had a bit of a twist.
A motorcyclist crashed near the northbound Don Mills Road exit just before 7:30 p.m., but then took off on foot.
Speaking to NEWSTALK1010, Const. Dave Hopkinson confirmed police found out the motorcycle had been reported stolen and eventually caught up with the thief.
"Police come on scene, they've checked the motorcycle, it is on file as being stolen. So they do a search of the area, they are able to catch up to the motorcycle rider, he is in custody."
The suspect was banged up in the crash and needed medical attention in hospital.
It's not clear how many charges the rider is facing, but Hopkinson did add that the suspect "is under arrest for the possession of a stolen motorcycle."
