Imagine, you've climbed to the pinnacle of pro-sports, only to have some low-life break in and steal your prize.
Cam Gaunce was awarded a ring, when the Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2017.
While he wasn't a key fixture on the team, the Penguins thought enough of him to award him with the diamond-encrusted jewellery.
He also had one made for his wife, albeit a little smaller.
On Monday, January 21st, Toronto Police say someone broke into a home in Etobicoke, near The East Mall and Burnhamthorpe.
The rings were in a safe, but that didn't seem to stop the suspects.
As a matter of fact, Gaunce's brother, says the thieves managed to rip the safe out of the wall, and make off with the rings.
The larger of the two rings is believed to have 9 carats in diamonds on it.
Together, police say they are worth more than 50 thousand dollars.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police.
