Amazingly, there were no injuries reported, after a fire broke out at a long-term care home in Scarborough.
The fire broke out in a locker in the downstairs laundry room, at Kennedy Lodge, near Kennedy and Ellesmere.
Upon arriving, just before noon, fire crews targeted the flames and quickly put them out.
However, the issue was smoke that had spread through the building.
Residents in the basement and the first floor of the building were sent outside, while the crews ventalated the space.
Kennedy Lodge has 289 beds and residents on the second and third floors were ordered to shelter in place.
At around 1:30, the all clear to return to the building was given.
