School bus drivers at First Student Canada and Parkview Transit, represented by Unifor locals 4268 and 1285, have both voted to accept new collective agreements.
The drivers voted 94.5 per cent in favour of a new three-year agreement, putting an end to a three-day bus strike.
"Unifor worked diligently to achieve significant gains in these two contracts as part of the union's ongoing work to raise standards for school bus drivers across Ontario's student transportation sector," Unifor National President Jerry Dias said in a news release late Sunday afternoon.
The vote means that full service to schools in both Durham and Kawartha regions will resume Monday morning.
The contract gives workers a major pay raise, a reduction in unpaid work, signing bonuses and union access to paid education leave and Unifor's Women's Advocate Program.
