Volunteers continue their search for Kaden Young, the little boy who got swept into the Grand River west of Orangeville during flooding in February.
Young, 3, was with his mother inside a vehicle when it got caught in fast moving flood waters on February 21. His mother was initially able to grasp him before the current knocked him out of her arms.
According to the Facebook group "Bring Kaden Young Home to his Family," searchers will head out from 9 Mill Street in the town of Amaranth each morning this weekend.
The search area encompasses a 13-kilometre stretch between the Grand River and Bellwood Lake. Both police and civilians have conducted numerous searches around the immediate area from which he disappeared. Police tell CP24 they anticipate the boundaries will be expanded to the lake itself.
Family and friends continue to ask for volunteers to help in the search or assist others by providing supplies or transportation.
Local businesses continue to collect donations for the search efforts as well as Young's family.
