Two more men have been charged in connection with a murder that reads like the script of a gangster movie.
Seven men are now facing charges of first-degree murder in the death of Kong Wu Wang on November 7.
Police say early that morning, a group of men grabbed a male victim in the parking lot of a business near Midland Ave and Finch Ave W in Toronto. The man was bound and forced into a vehicle. Moments later, a second victim, Wang was shot.
York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden told NEWSTALK 1010 in March that while the suspects were trying to get the injured Wang into the car, the first man who had been bound managed to break free, jump out of the car and run off.
Investigators believe Wang, was driven to Markham and left for dead at the side of the road near Old Kennedy Rd just north of Steeles Ave.
Pattenden could not say what the motive for the crimes appears to be but that investigators will consider the possibility of the involvement of organized crime given the number of people involved.
This week Doran Blackwood and Jessy Hardwick were charged with first-degree murder. The five previously charged men are:
Qiao Xi Zeng aka Ah Long
Xue Mao Gong aka Nono, Lolo or Lulu
Qin Long Xue aka Ken
Yong-Yout Salapseng
Haoxing Feng aka Jay
