Police told NEWSTALK 1010 that there was one call on Monday about a man seen in that area, reportedly armed with two guns and wearing a swat uniform.
Officers have been in the area all day, but haven't yet found any photos or video of the man.
According to a TDSB spokesperson, there's been no threats directed at schools, so the hold and secure order is strictly precautionary.
Police released a statement saying, "Regarding today's call, This is an active, ongoing investigation. Officers are currently attending those schools in Hold & Secure to assist with dismissal of students. Investigators are interviewing witnesses, reviewing video and continue to follow up on leads. At this time, there have been no additional sightings. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police."
Police have said this is not connected to an earlier release, where they put out a picture of a man wanted for allegedly making a threat against a Toronto French Catholic School.
