Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of the GTA and surrounding areas warning of rain and thunderstorms.
The statement covers most of the GTA, and warns of the potential for severe storms to blow into Toronto between 3pm and 6pm.
The storms would be the result of a cold front that is pushing up from southern Ontario, and would bring the possibility of high winds and heavy downpours, in a short period of time.
As a matter of fact the winds could gust as high as 90km/h.
This all comes as we've already seen a very soggy spring.
The water level in Lake Ontario is already at its highest in about 30 years.
