An Ontario court has dismissed a sexual harassment lawsuit against former premier and Pan Am Games chairman David Peterson.
Ximena Morris, a former Games employee, launched the $3-million suit against Peterson and other executives in 2015, alleging Peterson harassed her.
Peterson's legal team says in a statement the lawsuit was "completely without merit," and that Morris has apologized to the former premier and his wife for having launched it.
Lawyer Lisa Talbot says the defendants have argued that the suit was launched solely to embarass the former premier and to extract money from them.
Morris' lawyer meanwhile says that while she apologizes for launching the lawsuit, she does not apologize for the allegations.
