What started out as a very noisy and heavily attended house party,ended with one person being shot.
The incident occurred at a home in the Dundas and Islington area of Etobicoke late last night.
Toronto Police initally received calls about a noise disturbance at the home just after 11:30 p.m. Friday night.
But speaking to NEWSTALK 1010 Saturday morning, spokesperson Katrina Arrogante confirmed when officers arrived on scene, that's when things escalated.
"There were approximately 50 to 100 people at this gathering. Unkown suspects discharged multiple gunshots in the area. The crowd started to flea the location and the victim was located by our officers with a gunshot wound."
Arrogante also confirmed police found weapons at the scene and evenutally made arrests in connection to the shooting.
"Officers searched the location and arrested two parties and recovered two fire arms."
The unknown victim was originally rushed to a trauma centre suffering life-threatening injuries, but his condition was later upgraded to serious.
Police continue to investigate.
