A bar spat turned into a bar shooting on the Danforth overnight.
A man who got into an altercation with another bar patron, left Rivals sports pub near Danforth and Carlaw, but returned a short time later, shooting into the crowded bar.
Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook told NEWSTALK 1010 Toronto police got the call early Sunday morning.
" At 2:23 this morning we received reports of the sound of gun shots. Witnesses reported that there were six to seven shots heard. People were seen fleeing the area."
The shots blew out the front window of the pub and caused some damage inside the bar, but amazingly no one was injured.
According to Douglas-Cook, the incident was the result of a previous confrontation between the two men inside the pub.
"There was some kind of physical altercation within the establishment. A male who was believed to have been involved in the altercation, is also believed to be responsible for a shooting at the bar."
After further investigation, police tracked down the suspect and arrested him. He's described as a 25-year-old male.
Police are not looking for any other suspects.
