Peel Police say they were called to a home near Williams Pkwy and Vodden St. W. at around 2:30 p.m. and located two people inside who had been shot.
A woman has been pronounced dead and a man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Police don't know the relationship between the two and can't comment on what may heave led to the shooting.
