Toronto Police say they've arrested four men, a woman and a 16-year-old boy on charges of fraud involving taxi riders.
It's alleged that customers would attempt to pay with a card, input their PIN, and that the transaction would fail to go through.
The driver would then ask for the machine back and secretly switch out the card.
The cards and PINs would then be used to withdraw money from the victim's account.
Police executed search warrants last month. The five adults were arrested in November and December. The teen was arrested this week.
They face a total of 262 charges.
