For some, it would be a nightmare come true.
A large snake spotted slithering... in the bedroom of a Scarborough apartment building.
The first sighting of the snake was made on Tuesday morning, by the woman living there.
Shortly after, it disappeared again.
After a morning of searching and tearing holes in walls in the unit near Eglinton and Kingston Road, the reptile was located and captured.
It turned out to be a python, and George Warner, who calls himself a "snake guy", couldn't say how old the reptile was. But he admitted, it appears agitated and hungry.
"I know snakes inside and out. This is a pet. This was a pet and it will be a pet" says Warner.
He says it can grow to about 10 feet long and can go as long as three months without eating. Normally, the snake would eat mice and rats.
The person who was renting the unit claims the previous renter was a snake collector, who had 34 of them at one time.
They were evicted recently for allegedly not paying their rent.
