An Animal Services officer pulled a MacGyver when a chubby beaver got stuck in a wrought-iron fence in Hamilton.
City officials say the beaver was spotted on private property at about noon Tuesday.
The beaver got wedged between two bars.
When officer Sarah Mombourquette arrived on scene, she used "soap to help the beaver out of this tight situation," according to the city.
The beaver was taken to a shelter to rest and be fed.
Officials says the animal was injured and won't be released back into the wild until it has recovered.
