Hamilton Police have charged the son of the owner of Soufi's restaurant in Toronto, in connection with the protest at a speaking event at Mohawk College at the end of September.
A video went viral of a group of protestors blocking an elderly woman from crossing the street.
Police said they reviewed hours of video and have charged three people, including Alaa Al Soufi, 27, from Toronto, with two counts of intimidation, two counts of disguise with intent and one of causing a disturbance.
He's the son of the owner of Soufi's restaurant on Queen West. The restaurant had threatened to close down because of the hate messages and death threats, but the owner was convinced to stay open.
