Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of the possibility of freezing rain overnight and early Sunday.
Near zero temperatures may result in patchy freezing rain, the statement says, but any freezing rain is expected to remain fairly brief.
Locally slippery roads and sidewalks will be possible in areas where freezing rain occurs.
Temperatures will rise to above the freezing mark in all areas Sunday morning which will change any freezing rain to rain.
Waterloo-Wellington, Dufferin-Innisfil, Halton-Peel, York-Durham regions and the city of Toronto are all under the special weather statement.
