Toronto Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed early Sunday morning and eventually died of his injuries.
Officers responded to a call for a stabbing in the Danforth Avenue and Greenwood Avenue area near 3:30 a.m.
Reports indicate two men riding a TTC bus along Danforth Avenue got into an altercation. They both exited the bus and began to fight.
One of the men was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Matthew Lidster of Toronto.
An autopsy of the victim has been scheduled for Tuesday.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been on the 300 Blue Line night bus or in the area, and may have witnessed events that would assist with this investigation.
