You have to know that the police officer who was left in charge of this vehicle, is breathing a sigh of relief.
The 2016 Toyota Highlander that was stolen from a home in Markham last week, has been recovered.
The vehicle was police issued, and contained a rifle, handgun, ammunition and two tasers. All were in a secure lock box inside the vehicle.
"The vehicle, and all those firearms and weapons have been located," says Sgt Andy Pattenden from York Regional Police.
But police aren't revealing any details surrounding where, exactly, the vehicle was found, or how long it'd been there.
"Who knows, maybe they looked inside and realized this wasn't just a regular Toyota Highlander, got spooked and dropped it off," Pattenden admits.
So far, no arrests, but police are hoping the public can come forward with more information.
Interesting to note, the vehicle that was stolen did not have a GPS tracker on board.
