There is an interesting new survey from Angus Reid that looks at financial health as more than just a set of numbers.
Rather than just focusing on income, pollsters asked Canadians about their experiences.
Do you live to far from work? Can you afford clothes, quality food and dental care? Have you had to turn to a payday loan service?
The survey found that 1 in 6 Canadians are struggling.
Respondents were asked about 12 money situations and grouped into four categories.
Those considered to be struggling had faced at least four of those 12 situations.
The results were a bit surprising.
Angus Reid says that while income is a factor, it may not play as much of a role as you'd think.
More than one in five in the struggling group have household incomes between $50,000 and 100,000 a year.
