Toronto Police are dealing with a suspicious death in the West end of the city.
The body of a man was found outside a building on West Lodge Avenue, near Queen Street and Lansdowne Avenue in Parkdale just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Spokesperson Gary Long confirmed to NEWSTALK 1010 Sunday morning some of the circumstances surrounding the discovery have prompted police to treat the death as suspicious.
"There's reports that there may have been an altercation in the apartment of some sort and then a short time thereafter, a male was found outside and was pronounced on the scene deceased."
Long adds while it's not clear how the body ended up on the ground, police haven't ruled out the possibility the victim fell from a balcony in the building after the altercation.
Homicide detectives have yet to be brought in, but may assist in the case in conjuction with the police until a motive for the death is confirmed.
Investigators remain on scene.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
