We are exactly two weeks away from the start of a new school year and for 800 students forced out of their school by fire, the board says their new school will be ready.
Students from York Memorial will be headed to Scarlett Heights this year but some parents have voiced concerns.
If you walk by the school near Royal York and Lawrence, you might notice contractors, cleaners and painters working away.
But TDSB spokesperson Ryan Bird insists they'll be ready to go on September 3rd.
"There may be some odds and ends that are still being finished off but the important thing is that it will be ready for students on the first day of school," Bird says.
Scarlett Heights has been closed for more than a year so crews have spent the summer checking the electrical system, fixing leaks in the roof and cleaning.
Bird says staff have already started to get their classrooms ready.
