More daylight violence in the city.
Toronto Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times in the middle of a robbery near Bloor and Landsdowne Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say it happened in the vicinity of train tracks in the area of Paton Road and Wade Avenue just before 3:30 p.m.
Police tell CP24 the boy is said to have non-life threatening injuries. An 18-year-old man also suffered superficial injuries in the incident.
"Upon police arrival together with EMS, a male was found with apparent stab wounds to the body," police spokesperson Katrina Arrogante told NEWSTALK1010. "He was conscious and breathing at the time."
"Initially the report was that there was some type of altercation that had occurred between this teenager as well as a group of males in the area," Arrogante added.
Investigators are looking for eight to 10 suspects but there are no descriptions at this time.
They would not say if a weapon had been recovered or if the crime took place directly on the train tracks.
