It's a horrifying situation for any parent: to learn your teenaged son has been shot.
To make matters worse, it looks like he may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Thankfully, a 14-year-old boy is expected to recover after he was shot near Jane and Sheppard Monday night.
Police believe he may have been an innocent bystander.
They were called to a plaza in the area around 10:30 p.m.
Police say someone in a car shot at a man but it was the boy who was hit.
So far, there are no details on suspects.
