How would you like to get a 2-4 delivered to your doorstep in two hours?
The Beer Store is testing home delivery in Toronto's east end and in Ottawa with the possibility of expanding to more communities.
The service is available through the Beer Store's beerxpress.ca.
Toronto's delivery zone is bounded by Hwy 401, Victoria Park Ave and Lake Ontario with a bump out near Danforth Ave and Coxwell Ave. If you live in that area the convenience of delivery will cost you $9.75.

The Toronto Sun says independent drivers will carry out deliveries that will come with a minimum order of $20. It will be drivers' responsibility to check ID and refuse delivery to someone who seems drunk. The Beer Store warns wait times could be longer than two hours when demand is high or driving conditions are poor.
Who will the drivers be, though? Will they know how to spot if someone is too intoxicated to be served? "They are all independent drivers that are all licensed by the AGCO. They are not employees of the Beer Store and they have all met with strict certification," explains VP of retail Andrea Randolph. "When the delivery individual comes to the door he or she is going to check that you are the person that put in the order, your ID has to match, they're going to check your age, and that your not intoxicated."
Beer will be paid for online during the ordering process with a debit or credit card.
Randolph expects the pilot project to last about six months. Once the data is reviewed, the Beer Store will decided if it should be expanded and to what areas.
The LCBO launched province-wide home delivery last July with a minimum order of $50, $12 fee and a wait as along as three days.
LCBO CEO George Soleas told the Toronto Star in November its aim was same-day delivery with help from Canada Post.
