An arrest has been made in the fatal hit and run accident that claimed the life of a 63 year old New Brunswick woman in Don Mills last week.
Erin Wright was arrested at her home Saturday morning. Her vehicle jumped the curb and struck Debbie Graves as she was walking along the sidewalk on October 4th.
The vehicle then sped off. Two days later, the SUV was found at a body shop. Police seized the vehicle and traced it back to Wright.
At the time, police identified the 28-year-old woman as the owner of the vehicle, but said that they were unable to determine who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash and therefore only considered her to be a person of interest.
Wright will be charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing death and obstruction of police. She is expected in court Sunday to face those charges.
Graves was visiting from Riverview, New Brunswick at the time of the accident.
