Halton Police are using this as a good opportunity to remind parents to check through their kids' candy, if they haven't already.
And it doesn't even matter how old your kids are.
Case in point, in Milton, where a mom found an opened 'airplane bottle' of what could be booze, mixed in with the candy of her 12-year-old.
Officers say the mother drove to the police station on Tuesday morning, to turn over the bottle, and that's when the investigation was opened.
But they can't say for sure it's alcohol.
"It may be alcohol, it may be some type of vodka, but the officers who inspected it said it didn't appear to have an odour of alcohol, and it also had a strange odour to it as well." says Halton Police Staff Sgt Paul Davies to NEWSTALK 1010.
They've managed to track the bottle back to a general area in Milton of Childs Drive and Ledwith Drive. That's near Main and Ontario.
"We'd definitely be looking at this, whether it'd be mischief or something more serious." says Davies.
So far, no arrests have been made.
