New court dates have been set in the ongoing St. Michael's College School group assault case after a procedural court appearance Monday.
Six of the seven accused will have their cases heard on April 1st, but one of them will be heard separately a week later on April 8th.
"That is being dealt with a little bit differently and that's why it has a different return date and I can't really speak too much about that," one of the defence lawyers, Rachel Lichtman said.
Another matter for one of the accused will be heard on March 14th, regarding an issue with some of the video evidence.
Many details cannot be released because of a publication ban.
On Monday, the Crown said there's still more disclosure to come and all of the defence lawyers were asked to book judicial pre-trials.
Lichtman said it's much too early to discuss the possibility of any kind of plea and we're still months away from any trial.
"It likely will happen in about six to 12 months," she said about trial dates.
Seven boys are facing charges related to three incidents involving assault or sex assault in the fall on school property and all were expelled.
The scandal also led to the resignation of the school's principal late last year.
NEWSTALK1010 has reached out to the interim principal for comment, but a spokesperson says they are not doing interviews at this time.
