There are more frustrating problems with the TTC's new Bombardier streetcars.
First, it was repeated delivery delays and now there's word that most of them need to go back for repairs.
The Star reports 67 of the 89 new street cars have a welding problem that needs to be fixed or they could fail prematurely.
Bombardier says there's no risk to public safety but the repairs could take a while.
It could be 2022 before all of them are fixed.
There’s no word on the cause of the issues.
Bombardier says it's picking up the tab.
The TTC says it will only send out a few cars at a time for repairs to try to make sure there is little or no impact to service.
