It was brief, but Environment Canada says a thunderstorm on Monday night did produce at least one tornado.
It formed over Lake Simcoe east of Hawkstone, north of Barrie. There have been no reports of damage or injuries.
On social media, there were a number of unconformed sightings, but nothing else has been confirmed.
The tornado warnings came out shortly before 8 o'clock, as a system of severe storms passed through the area. Those warnings covered an area from Orillia to Kawartha Lakes, and were lifted by 11:15.
