A Toronto actor has been convicted of two counts of mischief for using a hidden camera.
J.P. Manoux has played roles in Veep, E.R., and Spun Out.
He sublet a condo near Queen and Dufferin Sts to two women who found a camera after he started sending texts suggesting he knew where they were and what they were doing.
Manoux was in court Wednesday to hear the judge's decision.
Court heard the tenants found the hidden camera was in the living room within a BluRay player.
The Toronto Star reports that the judge said while the images the webcam captured may not have been sexual in nature, they were still intimate.
She said Manoux's actions went against a right to privacy in your home.
The actor didn't deny putting up the camera, but he argued he only used it for security reasons because previous tenants had allegedly stolen from him.
He is yet to be sentenced.
