It's a double down on the idea proposed by PC Leader Patrick Brown over the weekend.
He says if elected, his government would take over the responsibility of the TTC.
But the proposal by the board of trade goes way beyond that.
It would see 12 forms of transit brought together, to form what they have nicknamed "superlinx".
That would include GO transit which runs throughout the region.
Toronto's Mayor, John Tory says it's a good idea and he's happy people are talking about it.
"I'm glad that people in all the political parties in Ontario are talking about transit in Toronto".
The idea would see transit operators combined between Durham and Waterloo.
Mayor Tory says he wants to make sure major transit projects in the city of Toronto are taken care of first.
"I don't think anything is impossible, but it's something like I said, I think we have a lot of transit projects on our plate right now I want to get funded."
The report from the Toronto Board of Trade claims the concept could provide more resources and give the corridor a world-class transit system.
Mayor Tory says they want to know more about how the idea could impact the city.
"If you were in some way or anyway take it apart, I think you would have to analyze what the consequences are of that financially. And also the consequences of the integrity of that system."
Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca says the government is not looking at that system at the moment.
He says right now, the province is focusing on delivering critical transit projects for the region.
