By a vote of 22-3, Toronto city councillors have made the King Street pilot permanent.
Councillors Michael Ford, Stephen Holyday and Jim Karygiannis opposed the plan that prioritizes streetcars.
Councillors shot down exemptions for motorcycles, scooters, green vehicles and taxis working for Wheel Trans. Holyday wanted to loosen restrictions 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Monday to Friday and around the clock on weekends, but that too was rejected.
