Seven years in jail: that's the sentence handed down Wednesday to a 21-year-old man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of a Markham woman.
36-year-old Annie Li went missing last June, a disappearance police called suspicious. Her body wasn't found until earlier last month, in a park near Yonge St and Sheppard Ave.
Jerry Tang was charged with manslaughter in September, and he later pleaded guilty.
A judge sentenced Tang to seven years minus time served. He has just under six and a half years left in his sentence.
