A Toronto man is wanted by police in the attempted shooting of a tenager last Saturday near Danforth Village.
Police allege the 36-year-old suspect was driving his car eastbound on Danforth Avenue at Main Street at aorund 2 a.m., when he had an interaction with another man.
Following that interaction, the 2nd person, a 19-year-old, drove off southbound Main Street from Danforth Avenue and was followed by the suspect, who attempted to cut him off.
The teenager drove eastbound on Gerrard Street East towards Victoria Park Avenue, as another vehicle also began following him.
He then drove northbound on Victoria Park Avenue, as both of the other vehicles attempted to box him in and force him off the road.
The cars sustained damage and the suspect was then able to pull up alongside the 19-year-old's car and fired a shot at him.
The bullet missed and the suspect sped off.
Jameal Wayne Johnson, of Toronto, is wanted for various offences including Dangerous Driving, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound Endanger Life.
Police contend he should be considered armed and dangerous. Call 9-1-1 immediately if he is seen.
