Toronto Police are alerting the public about a high-risk sex offender who's been arrested twice within a 30-day period.
Police say 28 year-old Joanasie Mingeriak of Toronto has an extensive criminal history of break and enters and sex-related crimes.
On May 29th, police responded to a break and enter in the St. Clair West and Christie Street area.
It's alleged that two women woke up in the middle of the night to find a strange man seated naked in their living room.
Mingeriak was arrested and charged with break and enter, indecent exposure, nude and exposed to public on private property and two counts of fail to comply with probation.
He appeared in court and was then released with several conditions.
He was arrested again on June 28th for allegedly breaching the boundaries of his conditions.
He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with probation and one count of failure to comply with recognizance.
None of the allegations against him have been proven in court.
Mingeriak appeared this morning at the Old City Hall courthouse.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
In March of this year, Mingeriak was released by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
It's unclear why he was being held in provincial custody prior to his release in March, how long he'd been in custody and why he was granted release.
