Toronto Police were searching the water in Oshawa Harbour on Monday.
A team of divers is helping their colleagues in Durham Region look for leads in a gruesome case that emerged last week.
Somebody out fishing in the Harbour spotted what's left of a woman's torso.
After a week of investigation, police have not been able to figure out who she is, and how she died.
There's also been no word on a possible suspect.
The Toronto Police Underwater Search and Recovery Team was called to the waterfront to help locate other body parts, or any evidence that might help police fill in the blanks.
Durham Regional Police Const. George Tudos says investigators have spent the last week scouring missing person reports from all the Toronto area but so far, they haven't been able to find a match.
Tudos adds forensic scientists will work on building a description of the victim using her DNA.
Anyone who has information on this case is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
