Toronto Police kept busy overnight Friday, responding to a shooting call and an assault, both downtown.
Multiple calls for shots heard were phoned into Police just before 3 a.m., in the West Queen West area near Queen and Ossington.
A male suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot and ended up in hospital on his own, reportedly via taxi.
Const. Dave Hopkinson confirmed to NEWSTALK 1010 Saturday morning the shooting victim appears to be ok.
"Officers went to the hospital, they've interviewed him and they have now determined he is the victim of a shooting, so we're investigating that. His injuries are not considered life-threatening."
Police have little details on suspects, but are looking for a white SUV that fled the scene.
Earlier in the night, around 12:30 a.m., police responded to an assault call at a club in the Church St. and Maitland St. area.
According to Hopkinson,two people were injured, one seriously.
"Assaulted with an object and he was apparently knocked unconscious and was unersponsive. When we got there with ambulance and he was transported to hospital, he recovered and is being treated for his injuries."
Police are looking for 2 suspects, both male black, who fled the scene.
