Toronto Police have a man in custody, after an officer was struck in Parkdale on Thursday morning.
The bike cop was struck while conducting 'enforcement' around 1:15pm, which essentially means they were keeping an eye out for distracted drivers and those not wearing seatbelts.
But a vehicle headed westbound on King Street West near Jameson, actually struck one of the officers as it passed by.
The cop was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car actually took off and was arrested a short distance away, on Dowling, south of Queen Street West.
He's been charged with impaired driving.
But it's the second time since Saturday evening, an officer on a bike has been struck while on duty.
In the first case, a driver in an SUV with Alberta plates, was arrested.
